We are an independent English language teaching business which caters exclusively for the hospitality industry. We operate from the land of Geoffrey Chaucer and the Canterbury Tales in the United Kingdom.

We know that learning a language is an exciting journey. Students walk different paths at different speeds. Our English courses use a range of learning materials for all abilities, from beginner to advanced. We are proud to use our vast experience, our fun and outgoing personalities and our practice-led methodology to differentiate our lessons, making sure everyone continues on their journey at their own pace.

Richard Venner - The Grammar Goat Language School

Richard Venner
Role: Founder and Director of Learning at The Grammar Goat

Richard’s career in the English language education sector spans a 20-year period teaching in both the UK and in various European countries.

He has worked in a number of roles from English language teacher trainer to academic manager and most recently as Founder and CEO of The Grammar Goat.

He has taught students ranging in age from 4-80 from over 50 different nationalities and specialises in collaborative online learning, English language teaching methodology, phonetics and phonology.

Richard has written bespoke English language courses for hospitality professionals, medical professionals as well as elementary and high school teachers. He has also designed training courses for the education sector on an international level.

Richard holds a Master’s Degree in teaching English to speakers of other languages, a BA Joint Honours Degree in Spanish and Italian and DELTA and CELTA Cambridge University Teaching qualifications.

Justine White - The Grammar Goat Language School

Justine White
Role: Senior Teacher

Justine began teaching in 1996 and has worked in the UK, Spain, Portugal and Poland. As well as being a highly experienced Business English teacher, she has also worked as a teacher trainer and is a school owner and director in her own right.

She has taught students from all over the world and specialises in online learning, course design and learner training.

Justine has written tailored courses for hospitality professionals and journalists as well as General English and examination courses, including IELTS. She also has extensive experience in teaching younger learners.

Justine holds a Master’s Degree in philology, QTS and DELTA and CELTA Cambridge University Teaching qualifications.

Steve Wilson - The Grammar Goat Language School

Steve Wilson
Role: Business Development Director

From a brief career in the banking sector to a 20-year career in luxury travel, working for some of the most exclusive niche tour operators in the UK and North America and more recently as Founder of LiNGER Travel, Steve brings a wealth of experience to The Grammar Goat and its mission to provide bespoke online English courses to the travel, tourism and hospitality sector.

Steve’s travels have taken him to over 70 countries and he has personally experienced and developed business relationships with hundreds of the world’s most exclusive hotels, private island resorts, boutique wilderness lodges and upscale safari camps from the Americas to Asia.

He has worked in partnership with Destination Management Companies, niche tourism projects, specialist guides and airlines.

Steve is responsible for developing new strategic partnerships and building the Grammar Goat brand.

Steve’s role is also to develop opportunities for The Grammar Goat Foundation whose goal is to support small communities where the opportunity to learn English is extremely restricted but the rewards could be life-changing for individuals where tourism is emerging.
